NET Engineering

In collaboration with the Bulgarian Company TransGeo, NET Engineering S.p.A. signed a contract with NRIC (Bulgarian Railways) for a value of about 1,000,000 € for technical assistance with regard to the implementation of the intermodal terminal in the city of Plovdiv in Bulgaria.
The project includes: collection and study of data about traffic and about the demand of intermodal transport in the entire region, cost / benefit analysis considering different assumptions about the infrastructure location, preliminary design, implementing strategy of an intervention through a public-private partnership, drawing up of the tender and related documents.
More precisely, NET will be in charge of activities regarding the leadership and the project coordination, the traffic studies and the demand forecasting, the cost-benefit analysis of the different proposed solutions, the financial analysis, the determination of strategies for public / private financing and the development plan of the intermodal centre.
 
Activities will be carried out in a time frame of 14 months.
The acquisition of this contract strengthens NET’s position in the markets of Eastern Europe and particularly in Bulgaria.
